One of you is faking it. Everyone gets the same secret word, except the spy. Give clues, argue a little, and vote out the faker.

How to play Who's the Spy?

  1. Check your phone in secret. Everyone sees the word except the spy.
  2. Take turns saying one word out loud about the secret.
  3. Discuss, then vote for who you think the spy is.
  4. Caught spies get one last chance to guess the word.

Who's the Spy? is a quick social deduction game with no complicated roles. The spy only knows the topic, so they have to bluff their way through the clues. Civilians want to prove they know the word without giving it away. A tied vote gets one extra discussion, and nobody sits out, so every round keeps the whole room involved.

How many players do you need?

At least 4, and it plays best with 5 to 10.

What happens if the vote is a tie?

You get one short extra discussion and a revote between the tied players. If it is still tied, the spy escapes.
